What We Learned from Onboarding a Municipality as a Customer

Last year, we at Bidrento, achieved a significant milestone by bringing onboard City of Tallinn and its extensive rental real estate portfolio. It was a bold move, and even some of our investors were skeptical.

But today, we are proud to say we proved them wrong. Not only did we onboard Tallinn City, but we did so in record time, thanks to the efforts of both teams and, of course, our product, Bidrento Property Management Software.

Bidrento is already an advanced system, and that was crucial for this project. Meeting the high demands of a large municipality would have been nearly impossible if we were still building our product or lacked the required functionality. Startups without a solid product-market fit may find it challenging to serve this segment. For us, it worked because Bidrento was ready, capable, and proven.

4. Onboarding Can Be Faster Than You Think ⚡🚀
If you succeed in the first three areas, onboarding doesn’t have to be a lengthy process. Despite the scale, we managed to fully onboard Tallinn City in just 6 months (to be very honest in 4 months). After 6 months, the first invoices were sent through Bidrento, including additional functionality, integration with accounting systems (like SAP), and training for hundreds of users.
